Davey 5PP20J Poly Pleated Sediment Removal 5 Micron 20" Jumbo Replacement Cartridge

Fine 5-micron sediment filtration at higher flow rates is provided by the 5PP20J Microlene Poly Pleated Sediment Removal Cartridge. Its 20-inch Jumbo configuration is suited to drinking water, beverage industry, mineral water bottling, laboratory and other high-volume applications, including prefiltration ahead of Reverse Osmosis and sub-micron filters.

Pleated polyester media provides a large surface area for fine sediment capture, while the 4.5-inch diameter and 20-inch length provide increased filtration area for larger water systems. The specified flow rate is 180 lpm, with the construction supporting low pressure drop and high dirt-holding ability.

For this fine filtration grade, cleaning is generally limited to one or two cycles. When flow becomes too low or head loss reaches 15 psi, the cartridge should be cleaned under a tap or with gentle hosing, followed by bleach sterilisation before reuse. Replacement is required once cleaning is no longer effective.

Thermally bonded construction joins the pliable endcaps to the rigid centre core, providing added strength and long service life. The cartridge is rated for liquids up to 52°C and has white construction with blue endcaps.
