The kit contains a 45W high-output ultraviolet lamp (MC-HOLP) and a corresponding lamp sleeve (MC-HOSL). These components are designed to work together to provide consistent UV-C radiation. The sleeve provides the necessary thermal insulation for the lamp to operate at the correct temperature for light output. The kit is compatible with systems operating at water temperatures between 2 and 40 degrees Celsius. The ultraviolet lamp has a 9,000 hour rated service life, requiring replacement every twelve months for continuous protection.

Filtration is managed through a two-stage process using the included cartridges. The kit features one 5 micron polypleated filter cartridge (5PP20J) for sediment removal and one 10 micron carbon-impregnated pleated filter cartridge (PPAC20J). The carbon-impregnated cartridge is used for chlorine reduction and the improvement of taste and odor. However, it is not recommended for the removal of organics, pesticides, or trihalomethanes. These filters are sized for 20 inch jumbo housings with 25 mm connections. The system is designed for a maximum operating pressure of 860 kPa.
