Davey CrystalClear ER 28 Fibreglass Media Filter for High Flow Pool Systems with Fish Tail Laterals

Developed for medium-to-large residential pool systems, the Davey CrystalClear ER 28 DCM2850 provides high-capacity filtration performance together with durable fibreglass construction for long-term outdoor operation. Its bolt-type filter arrangement is designed for installations requiring dependable water clarity and efficient filtration management.

Maximum hydraulic flow reaches 308 L/Min while backwash performance extends to 257 L/Min during servicing cycles. The filter incorporates a 0.38 m² filtration area together with 154 litres of media capacity, supporting six-hour turnover volumes up to 110,880 litres. Operating pressure is rated to 250 kPa with water temperatures up to 50°C, while the 50 mm valve connection supports higher-volume circulation systems.

Filtration efficiency is supported through specially designed fish tail laterals that improve hydraulic water distribution throughout the media bed while reducing backwash flow resistance. The integrated sight glass assists visual monitoring during cleaning cycles, while the liquid-filled pressure gauge allows easier observation of filter pressure conditions.

The seamless one-piece fibreglass tank is precision filament wound for improved durability and resistance to corrosion within chemically treated pool environments. A quality 6-way multiport valve is incorporated into the assembly, and the filter supports operation with sand, Zelbrite, fine glass, and coarse glass filtration media.
