Large swimming pool systems, aquatic facilities, and commercial filtration installations require high-capacity filtration performance to maintain stable water clarity during continuous operating schedules. The Davey DEP4050 EcoPure media filter is configured for larger in-ground pool environments where efficient debris removal, reduced servicing frequency, and dependable long-duration filtration performance are important across demanding commercial and high-volume pool systems.

The filter delivers maximum filtration flow rates up to 650 L/Min with minimum backwash flow requirements of approximately 433 L/Min under suitable operating conditions. The large 40 inch fibreglass tank accommodates up to 600 kg of sand media and supports filtration turnover capacities up to approximately 234,000 litres over a 6 hour cycle. A 0.81 m² filtration area further assists with maintaining efficient water clarity while reducing unnecessary backwashing frequency and water consumption during extended operation.

Cylindrical tank geometry supports balanced water distribution through the media bed to improve filtration consistency during continuous-duty operation. The large surface area lateral under-drain arrangement contributes to efficient backwashing and improved media cleaning performance, while the integrated sight glass assists with monitoring water clarity throughout servicing procedures. The DEP4050 is designed for use with sand, Zelbrite, and glass filtration media across freshwater, saltwater, and mineral salt pool installations.

Bobbin wound fibreglass tank construction provides corrosion-resistant durability for exposed outdoor environments and commercial filtration systems. The integrated 6-way multiport valve simplifies filtration control and maintenance procedures, while the stainless steel oil-filled pressure gauge assists with monitoring operating pressure and servicing intervals during normal filtration duty. The filter is rated for maximum operating pressures up to 370 kPa and maximum water temperatures up to 40°C.
