Microbiological control in small residential dwellings is the primary application for the KUV24 Davey Steriflo 23 lpm UV Disinfection and Filtration Kit. This system provides a physical treatment process for water sourced from mains, rainwater, or bore sources. It is used to neutralize bacteria and viruses without the use of chemicals, maintaining the natural taste and odor of the water supply. The kit includes pre-filtration to ensure that particles do not shield micro-organisms from the ultraviolet light. It is suitable for point-of-entry installation to provide a continuous barrier for the household.

The system features a 304 Stainless Steel UV reactor and two 10 inch standard filter housings made from glass reinforced polypropylene. The pre-filtration stage includes one 20 micron pleated filter and one 1 micron polyspun filter. The UV chamber has a diameter of 64 mm and a length of 542 mm. The unit is designed to operate in water temperatures ranging from 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. The total shipping weight for the kit components is approximately 7 kg.

This system operates on a 90-265V 50/60Hz power supply and has a total power consumption of 30W. The internal ultraviolet lamp is rated at 22W. It operates with a maximum current of 1 Amps. It achieves a flow rate of 23 L/Min at a 30mJ/cm2 dosage and 41 L/Min at a 16mJ/cm2 dosage. Filter connections are 20 mm and the UV chamber connection is also 20 mm.
