This model is designed for drinking water systems, mineral water bottling, and fine filtration applications. It is designed for compatible standard 10 inch housings with approximately 64 mm diameter. The cartridge functions as a combination unit for facilities requiring the removal of dissolved chemicals and suspended solids down to a five micron nominal level.

The cartridge uses high-capacity Bonded Powdered Activated Carbon media with a 5 micron rating. This high porosity design allows for high flow rates and inhibits the premature plugging of pores with sediment. The high surface area of the carbon media is specified for the reduction of chlorine, pesticides, taste, and odour. The unit is clean and features blue end caps for secure installation in compatible housings. It contains no chemical binders or surfactants that could leach into the water being processed for consumption.

Fluid management performance includes an optimal flow rate of 3.8 L/Min for chemical reduction and a maximum flow rate of 15 L/Min. The internal mechanical path achieves a 5 micron nominal rating for the capture of silt, sand, and rust. This is a passive purification device that operates without electrical supply or motor configurations. It is specified for use in cold or hot water service up to 82.2 degrees Celsius. The unit fits compatible 10 inch standard water filter housings measuring 254 mm in length for drinking water.

Hygienic performance is managed through the service life of the carbon media, with replacement recommended when chemical breakthrough is detected. The cartridge should be run for 5 minutes after installation to clear carbon fines from the internal bed.
