This model is designed for whole-house drinking water systems, beverage industries, and commercial food processing. It is designed for compatible 10 inch Jumbo housings with approximately 114 mm diameter. The cartridge provides a high-capacity solution for facilities requiring simultaneous sediment removal and chemical purification in a single stage for high-volume distribution.

The cartridge uses high-capacity Bonded Powdered Activated Carbon media with a 5 micron rating. This high porosity architecture allows for higher flow rates than conventional canister-style cartridges and inhibits the plugging of pores with sediment. The media has exceptional adsorption capability for chlorine, pesticides, taste, and odour reduction. This construction contains no chemical binders or surfactants and is clean with no extractables for water purity during standard operation within the distribution loop.

Mechanical metrics include an optimal flow rate of 7.6 L/Min for chemical reduction and a maximum flow rate of 23 L/Min. The internal mechanical path utilizes a 5 micron nominal rating for the capture of suspended particles such as silt, rust, and sand. As a passive purification component, the unit operates without an electrical motor or drive configuration. It is specified for both cold and hot water service up to 82.2 degrees Celsius, providing versatility for various residential and commercial plumbing environments.

Hygienic performance is managed through a long service life, with replacement recommended when offensive chemicals or odours are detected in the treated water. The cartridge should be run for 5 minutes upon installation to remove carbon fines from the internal bed. A sediment prefilter is recommended for high sediment loadings to manage the active life of the carbon block. The cartridge fits compatible 10 inch Jumbo housings and does not impart taste, odour or colour to the processed liquid stream.
