Clean drinking water straight from the kitchen tap becomes a reality with the Davey E4020, a Microlene RO K2 reverse osmosis system specifically engineered for chlorinated municipal water supplies. This under-bench unit significantly reduces total dissolved solids, chlorine, taste and odour for superior drinking water quality.
Engineered plastic housings and an anodised aluminium frame support the treatment process, which begins with a granular activated carbon pre-filter that protects the membrane from chlorine damage. Water then passes through a thin film composite spiral wound membrane before receiving a final polish from a granular activated carbon post-filter. A 3 gallon HDPE storage tank keeps treated water ready for immediate use.
The system operates entirely on line pressure between 2 and 7 bar, producing 1 to 4 litres per minute for treated water delivery. An automatic hydraulic shut-off controller depressurises the system when the storage tank reaches capacity, preventing unnecessary water production and waste.
Installation is straightforward under the kitchen sink with a lead-free faucet mounted to the bench. Quick-connect cartridges make filter changes simple, and the 43mm x 254mm thin film composite membrane consistently achieves a minimum 95% TDS reduction under optimal conditions.
