It is designed for installation in commercial cartridge tanks as a direct replacement for bag filter housings. The filter manages the reduction of soft particles in process water and cooling tower loops.

Constructed from 100 percent meltblown polypropylene media, the filter features a large surface area depth filtration design. The 5 micron rated assembly provides lower shear water velocity as water passes through the matrix for increased contact time. This construction is specified for operation in various water-based fluid solutions. The cap and structural components are manufactured from polypropylene to provide chemical compatibility.

This cartridge is designed to maintain a low pressure drop at high service flow rates up to 380 L/min. It utilizes a passive depth filtration mechanism for particle removal. The bottom connection features double EPDM O-ring seals to provide a seal to prevent untreated water bypass. Dirt holding capacity is verified for soft particle filtration in potable and process water streams. All components are manufactured from bacteria resistant materials.

Operational safety is provided by a filter handle design that enables manual removal from the tank housing without tools. The unit includes a bag for the disposal of spent media to facilitate site hygiene standards during replacement. Its construction prevents the collapsing of filters under loading.
