Davey Microlene MMXC-PPAC Red Activated Carbon PAC Water Filter Cartridge

Chlorine reduction in high flow environments is the primary function of the Davey Microlene MMXC-PPAC activated carbon filter. This Red Series cartridge is for residential, food service, and rental fleet applications requiring reduction of taste and odour. It is for installation in commercial cartridge tanks where large surface area filtration is necessary to improve potable water quality using an activated carbon PAC solution.

Manufactured using materials specified as FDA approved, the 100 percent cellulose-free media incorporates a large filtration layer for dirt holding capacity. The assembly features a polypropylene filter and cap construction that is bacteria and chemical resistant. It utilizes a handle design for manual removal and uses NSF 61 certified materials. This unit is suitable for RO pre-filtration and process water applications.

The cartridge is specified for a service flow rate up to 57 L/min. It provides a chlorine removal capacity of up to 150,000 gallons with a 90 percent reduction rate during operation. As a passive component, it achieves this performance with a low pressure drop by utilizing 2 inch pipe fittings and a large diameter center tube. The bottom connection features double EPDM O-ring seals to provide a seal to prevent untreated water bypass.

Safety protection is provided by a design that allows for manual tool-less cartridge changes within the tank housing. Each filter is supplied with a bag for the disposal of spent units to provide site hygiene. The unit supports a maximum pressure differential of 40 psi. Important: Davey Microlene purifiers are intended for biologically safe water sources. Additional treatment is required where bacteria or viruses are present.
