Housing design optimization for custom media configurations is the role of the Davey Microlene MMXR-EC empty media vessel. This White Filter Series unit is for residential, food service, and industrial applications such as POE well-water installations. It is for installation in cartridge tanks where tailored treatment is required using resins or granular carbon. The vessel allows both up-flow and down-flow service configurations.

Constructed from high chemical resistance polyethylene, the bottle features a 0.5 cubic foot empty capacity for media filling. It incorporates patented Vortech full distributor plate technology for uniform media distribution and utilisation. The assembly is available in a Mid-Vortech configuration that splits the chambers into two 0.25 cubic foot sections for multi-media applications. Special rings are integrated into the bottom of the bottle.

The Vortech distributor plate helps prevent fluid channeling through the media bed and promotes more uniform flow distribution. The vessel operates as a passive container for granular media and is specified for high flow rates with a low pressure drop. It utilizes double Buna-N O-ring seals at the bottom connection to provide a seal to prevent untreated water bypass. This technology achieves contaminant removal when configured with media.

Operational safety is provided by a removable top cap with a locking feature to limit access to internal media. The unit is manufactured from materials compatible with oxidizing agents, corrosive fluids, and electronics process water. A handle designed top cap is included for manual removal from the tank housing without tools. This vessel provides a platform for exchange systems requiring high-purity water treatment and physical containment.
