The design is intended for the reduction of chlorine, taste, odour, and sediment from the water supply line. The internal fluid path utilizes a 10 micron nominal rating to trap suspended solids such as silt, sand, and rust. Hygienic performance is managed through a 12-month replacement cycle, depending on the level of suspended solids in the incoming supply.
