Davey UV250 Steriflo Dual Lamp 208 L/Min UV Water Treatment System

Potable water and food industry applications requiring high-volume fluid disinfection are the primary use for the UV250 Davey Steriflo 208 lpm High Output UV System. This unit provides a safe method for neutralizing harmful bacteria from drinking water supplies. It is used by local councils, food, dairy, and brewing industries to maintain water safety for consumption. The system can be installed horizontally or vertically, and the pipework should ensure the chamber stays full of water. The process uses 254nm ultraviolet light to damage the ability of micro-organisms to reproduce and cause illness.

Constructed from 316 Stainless Steel, the U-shaped reactor chamber includes a viewpoint for operational monitoring. The housing surrounds two high-purity quartz sleeves and two 130W ultraviolet lamps. The unit has a treatment chamber weight of 6.0 kg and operates with water temperatures ranging from 8 to 40 degrees Celsius. The internal chamber is designed for cleanliness and durability. It provides a clean surface for the disinfection process to occur and facilitates long-term operation. The system is designed to provide consistent performance over the life of the lamps.

The 170W system operates on a 230-240V 50Hz supply with a fuse rating of 1A. The lamps are rated at 130W. It achieves a flow rate of 208 L/Min at a 30mJ/cm2 dosage and 350 L/Min at a 16mJ/cm2 dosage. Inlet and outlet connections consist of 50 mm BSP ports, with a male inlet and a female outlet. The system is designed for a maximum operating pressure of 860 kPa and a test pressure of 1035 kPa. Head loss at the maximum flow rate is less than 0.5 metres.

The power supply enclosure has an IP24 protection rating and dimensions of 330 x 180 x 65 mm. It features an orange mains on indicator, a red visible alarm indicator, and an in-built audible lamp failure alarm. The internal lamps have a 9,000 hour rated service life. The system includes 1m of interconnecting cable and a 1.7m power supply lead with a 3-pin plug. Maintenance is performed through a design with positive sealing at both ends. All wetted components are USFDA listed. The enclosure is made from polyester powder coated steel.
