MATelec FCN-16250 Brass IP68 5 Pole 32A 415Vac Cable Connector

Multi-conductor cable connections in three-phase pump installations and submersible motor applications require a connector with sufficient pole count to accommodate the phase conductors plus earth, and the FCN-16250 provides a 5-pole configuration rated at 32 Amps and 415 Vac for this purpose. The connector body uses nickel plated brass for the contact elements, PA66 UL 94 V2 for the tube and gland housing, a silicone gasket for environmental sealing, and a TPE-V grommet that compresses around the cable sheath to prevent water ingress.

Cable sizing for the 5-pole FCN-16250 accepts conductors with an outer diameter between 5 mm and 11.9 mm, and the grommet compresses to form a watertight seal across this range. External dimensions measure 30 mm in diameter (A dimension), 67.5 mm in length (B dimension), and 35 mm in width (C dimension). The larger body size compared to the 3-pole variant accommodates the additional contact elements and the wider cable entry requirement.

IP68 protection rating confirms the connector is suitable for continuous immersion in water and wastewater installations. Temperature rating is 85°C, and the nickel plated brass contact elements provide low resistance connection paths for the 32 Amp current rating at 415 Vac three-phase supply. Zinc passivated steel screws secure the assembly and provide corrosion resistance in wet and submerged environments.
