The Matelec FPC-11004 is a specialised controller designed for rainwater harvesting systems to manage first-flush diversion and tank filling operations automatically. It detects rainfall events and diverts the initial runoff — which typically contains debris, dust and contaminants — away from the storage tank before allowing cleaner water to enter, improving water quality and protecting downstream equipment.
Housed in a robust IP56-rated powder-coated mild steel enclosure, the controller is engineered for demanding outdoor environments. It functions as both a first-flush diversion controller and a standard tank fill valve controller, shutting off the valve when a high-level float switch is triggered to prevent overfilling.
The system operates from a 230 V single-phase supply and accepts low-voltage inputs from a rain sensor and float switch. Outputs are provided for an air-actuated diversion valve, along with a weatherproof GPO outlet to power an air compressor that drives the actuator. Clear front-panel indicators display power status, tank full condition and valve position for easy monitoring.
Supplied as a complete kit with a 9006 float switch and 10 m cable, the FPC-11004 offers a comprehensive automated solution for roof runoff diversion, stormwater management and rainwater collection systems in commercial and industrial installations.
