Rainwater harvesting systems often require initial roof runoff to be diverted away from storage before clean water is directed into holding tanks. The MATelec FPC-11009 Tank Fill Controller operates pneumatic diversion valves and air compressor equipment to manage fluid routing between stormwater outlets and storage reservoirs.
Valve positioning is governed by an external digital float switch operating on a 24Vac control loop. When the storage reservoir reaches capacity, the controller signals the air actuator valve to shift position, diverting additional incoming flow to stormwater discharge. The panel concurrently controls the power feed to the dedicated pneumatic air compressor.
Constructed in a 300 x 300 x 150 mm powder-coated mild steel enclosure with an IP54 rating, the unit connects to a single-phase 230Vac supply. Electrical isolation is provided by a door-mounted padlockable rotary mains isolator, and internal control circuits operate on stepped-down 24Vac low voltage.
The front panel includes dedicated indicator lights for power on, tank full, valve open, and valve closed. Cable routing is accommodated via a removable bottom gland plate, and the panel is supplied with an internal GPO for compressor connection, a 10 Amp 1.5 m mains lead, and a model 9006 float switch with 10 m cable.
