MATelec FPC-12531 PVC 4 Point 300mm Conductivity Sensing Probe

Liquid level detection in tanks, wells, and sumps relies on conductivity sensing when float-based solutions are impractical due to space constraints or debris-laden fluids, and the FPC-12531 provides four preset sensing points along a 300 mm probe length. The probe is constructed from UV resistant PVC pipe with 316 stainless steel sensing electrodes positioned at defined intervals to establish common, stop, start, and high level detection points. A 10 m submersible rubber cable connects the probe to a compatible conductivity sensing relay.

Each sensing point is manufactured from 316 stainless steel, selected for its resistance to corrosion in potable water, grey water, black water, storm water, and rain water applications. The probe body measures 325 mm in total length with a 55 mm base section, and the sensing points are spaced at 100 mm intervals along the shaft. Epoxy resin fills the internal cavity to seal the cable connections and prevent moisture ingress into the wiring pathway.

Installation positions the probe vertically within the tank or wet well, with the common electrode at the base and the high level electrode at the top. The probe connects to a conductivity sensing relay that interprets resistance changes between electrodes and interfaces with the pump control circuit. The four-wire configuration carries the common, stop, start, and high level signals to the relay, with each wire labelled to match terminal assignments.
