MATelec FPC-12568 Hydrostatic Transducer Hanging Bracket

Keeping a hydrostatic level transducer at the correct height in a tank requires the cable to be held securely without interfering with its internal breather tube. The MATelec FPC-12568 provides the hanging bracket arrangement intended for this purpose.

Its clamp system holds the transducer cable in a dedicated cable groove and applies even pressure to the cable. This helps prevent the internal breather tube from being deformed or kinked while the transducer is suspended in the tank.

Installation begins with a hook or similar bracket, supplied by others, being fitted in the tank. The nylon clamps are moved up to position the cable in the groove, then moved down to secure it before the bracket is hung from the hook. The weight of the transducer helps keep the cable held in place.

During installation, the sensing diaphragm needs to remain clear of sludge or sediment, with the MATelec installation diagram showing a 50mm minimum clearance at the sensing end. Any excess cable should be coiled neatly so that it does not kink and obstruct the internal air tube. The back plate is stainless steel, while the clamp and body are Nylon 6. The installation diagrams cover both potable water and sewage transducers.
