Level measurement in sewage requires the sensing element to remain reliable while the transducer is exposed to the conditions associated with wastewater environments. The FPC-12570-10-SE is the 10m cable version of MATelec's 0–10m sewage hydrostatic level transducer range.
At the heart of the unit is a ceramic diaphragm, with measurement accuracy specified at ±0.5% F.S. The published overload pressure is 1.5 times full scale, while the range is identified for depth or level measurement in sewage, wastewater and trade waste.
Electrical operation uses a 12–30Vdc supply and produces a 4–20mA DC output signal. A 10ms response time is specified, with a three-wire connection and breather tube. The connection diagram identifies blue as -ve and also shows red and yellow wires, while the breather tube must not be kinked or obstructed.
For physical protection, the transducer has a 316L stainless steel housing and IP68 protection classification. MATelec specifies an operating range of -10°C to 70°C, vibration of 20g over 20–5000Hz, and a Ø7.5mm OD PUR polyurethane cable. Operating life is specified at greater than 1×10^8 pressure cycles, with excellent repeatability, long-term stability and anti-interference ability also stated for the range. The dimensional drawing includes 160mm, Ø28mm, 10mm, 10mm, Ø10mm, 47mm and Ø99mm callouts, while the installation diagram specifies 100mm and 50mm minimum clearances at the sensing end.
