A 24m cable accompanies the MATelec FPC-12571-24-SE, which is specified for measuring potable water depth across a 0–10m range. It is one of the configurations listed in MATelec's potable water hydrostatic level transducer range.
Inside the sensing assembly, a ceramic diaphragm is used with an accuracy specification of ±0.5% F.S. The published overload pressure is 1.5 times full scale, giving the transducer a defined overload specification within its stated range.
Its output is 4–20mA DC from a 12–30Vdc supply, with a 10ms response time. The three-wire electrical connection includes a breather tube. The connection diagram identifies blue as -ve and also shows red and yellow wires, and the tube must remain free of kinks and airflow obstruction.
With IP68 protection and a 316L stainless steel housing, the transducer is specified for -10°C to 70°C operation. Vibration is stated at 20g over 20–5000Hz, and the cable is Ø7.5mm OD PUR polyurethane. Operating life is greater than 1×10^8 pressure cycles. The potable range covers potable, raw, ground and rain water measurement and is not suitable for sewage or wastewater. The dimensional drawing includes 100mm and 28mm callouts, while the installation diagram specifies 100mm and 50mm minimum clearances at the sensing end.
