At the lower end of the listed sewage depth ranges, the MATelec FPC-12572-10-SE is specified for 0–2.5m measurement and supplied with 10m of cable. The model is part of the sewage hydrostatic level transducer range for sewage, wastewater and trade waste.
Its ceramic diaphragm provides the pressure-sensing interface, with accuracy stated at ±0.5% F.S. MATelec also specifies an overload pressure of 1.5 times full scale for the sewage range.
Electrical operation requires 12–30Vdc and provides a 4–20mA DC output, with a response time of 10ms. The unit uses a three-wire connection and breather tube. The connection diagram identifies blue as -ve and also shows red and yellow wires, while the breather tube must not be kinked or obstructed.
The construction specification includes a 316L stainless steel housing and IP68 protection. MATelec gives an operating temperature range of -10°C to 70°C and vibration of 20g over 20–5000Hz, while the cable is Ø7.5mm OD PUR polyurethane. Operating life is greater than 1×10^8 pressure cycles, with excellent repeatability, long-term stability and anti-interference ability also stated for the range. The dimensional drawing includes 160mm, Ø28mm, 10mm, 10mm, Ø10mm, 47mm and Ø99mm callouts, while the installation diagram specifies 100mm and 50mm minimum clearances at the sensing end.
