Longer cable requirements within the 0–4m sewage range are covered by the MATelec FPC-12575-30-SE, which is listed with 30m of cable. The range itself is specified for sewage, wastewater and trade waste level measurement.
Its ceramic diaphragm is specified to an accuracy of ±0.5% F.S, while the published overload pressure is 1.5 times full scale. These values define the principal sensing specifications stated by MATelec for the sewage range.
The transducer delivers a 4–20mA DC output from a 12–30Vdc supply and has a stated 10ms response time. Three wires are used for the electrical connection together with a breather tube, and MATelec cautions that the tube must not be kinked or obstructed.
Construction includes a 316L stainless steel housing and IP68 protection classification. The operating range is -10°C to 70°C, vibration is specified at 20g over 20–5000Hz, and the 30m cable is Ø7.5mm OD PUR polyurethane. The range is also described as having excellent repeatability and long-term stability. The dimensional drawing includes 160mm, Ø28mm, 10mm, 10mm, Ø10mm, 47mm and Ø99mm callouts, while the installation diagram specifies 100mm and 50mm minimum clearances at the sensing end.
