Sewage waste processing installations require a controller that can manage macerator motor operation while detecting and responding to blockage conditions, and the FPC-12588 addresses this by monitoring the motor current draw through built-in current transformers that continuously assess the three-phase 230Vac load. When a blockage is detected through elevated current consumption, the controller initiates a forward-reverse sequence to clear the obstruction before resuming normal forward operation. If the blockage persists, the system provides indication that the macerator is jammed through the dedicated fault indicator light.

Construction uses a polycarbonate enclosure rated IP54 with mounting brackets for wall or panel installation. The enclosure houses forward and reverse contactors that handle the motor switching, and low voltage control circuitry manages the logic functions. A three-position selector switch on the front panel selects between local and remote control modes, and a manual reverse operation button allows operator-initiated clearance attempts during maintenance procedures.

Inputs include a three-phase 230Vac power supply for the motor circuit and digital 24Vdc inputs for the motor thermostat and remote start/stop signals. Indicator lights on the front panel show macerator run status, fault condition, and power on status, with separate indicators for jam detection and over-temperature conditions. An emergency stop circuit with associated light provides safe shutdown capability, and BMS volt free outputs are provided for remote switch on, macerator fault, and run status signals.
