Extended runtime requirements in pump management and building services applications call for a battery bank with higher storage capacity, and the FPC-12596-450 addresses this by pairing the same 6kVA inverter platform with a 450 A/h battery set. The single phase 230Vac mains input charges the batteries automatically while maintaining a constant 230Vac output to the connected load. When mains power fails, the system transitions to battery supply without interruption to the downstream controller or panel.

Eight 6V batteries wired in series produce the 24Vdc rail that feeds the inverter, and the unit accepts a maximum starting current of 36 Amps with a maximum run current of 25 Amps from the battery bank. The padlockable AC mains isolator and DC battery isolator switches allow safe isolation during service, and a battery protection fuse sits in the DC path. The inverter screen reports battery status at all times, giving operators visibility of remaining charge during discharge events.

Physical construction places all components within a 1200 x 900 x 300 mm powder coated mild steel enclosure rated IP44. The enclosure ships at 200 kg, and the battery set adds a further 300 kg to the installed weight. Removable gland plates permit cable entry from multiple faces, and integral ventilation openings manage heat build-up within the cabinet. Din rail terminal blocks accept the supply and load conductors.
