Water damage in commercial kitchenettes can originate from either an overflowing sullage tank or pipe leaks accumulating inside the cabinetry base. The MATelec FPC-12662 Undersink Sullage Chamber Alarm Controller incorporates dual-zone detection to monitor both pit wastewater level and drip tray moisture.
Detection combines a magnetic float switch in the sullage pit with a moisture-sensing probe mounted in the equipment drip tray. Activation of either sensor sounds the audible alarm buzzer, pulses closed the 20 mm 12Vdc mains water valve, and de-energizes the 10 Amp dishwasher GPO socket. If mains power to the controller is disconnected, the solenoid valve closes immediately.
Operating on a single-phase 230Vac mains supply, the unit provides regulated 12Vdc low-voltage power for sensor inputs and valve switching. Housed in an IP54 rated polycarbonate enclosure measuring 330 x 260 x 135 mm, the panel includes a volt-free contact output for BMS fault signaling.
Front-panel controls include a membrane keypad with power and alarm indicator lights and an alarm mute/reset/test button. The system is supplied with two 10 Amp 1.5 m power leads, a 20 mm 12Vdc pulse latching solenoid valve, a 10 m magnetic float switch, and a pre-wired drip tray moisture probe.
