In commercial ablution facilities and outfall sumps, continuing water usage during pump downtime can cause severe drainage overflows. The MATelec FPC-12676 High Level Alarm and Valve Shut-Off Controller provides two-stage liquid level monitoring and automatic mains water isolation housed within a powder-coated mild steel enclosure.
Fluid detection operates via two separate float switches suspended inside the drainage chamber. Tripping the primary float switch triggers a flashing visual strobe and an audible buzzer to alert plant operators. If liquid continues rising to the second float switch, the internal controller pulses closed a 25 mm 12Vdc latching solenoid valve, isolating the mains water feed and stopping further wastewater entry.
The controller connects to a single-phase 230Vac supply and converts sensor signaling to a 12Vdc low-voltage platform. Built into a 300 x 300 x 150 mm powder-coated mild steel enclosure with an IP54 weatherproof rating, the panel includes a volt-free BMS output contact for centralized facility telemetry.
The front control fascia incorporates an electronic keypad with power on and alarm LEDs and a combined mute, reset, and test button. Factory-supplied components include two model 9006 float switches with 10 m leads, a 25 mm 12Vdc pulse latching solenoid valve, and a 1.5 m mains power cord.
