Maintaining continuous level visibility during mains electrical outages is critical for emergency storage and facility management. The MATelec FPC-12705-BBU Tank Level Indicator incorporates an internal 12V battery backup system that powers both the digital process display and hydrostatic transducer during power failures.
Level measurement utilizes a submerged 4-20mA hydrostatic pressure transducer that delivers real-time data to a front digital LED process meter. The display can be scaled to show depth in meters/millimeters, fill percentage, or volume in Litres. If mains power drops out, the internal 1.3Ah sealed battery and automatic charger keep the instrument operating for up to 10 hours.
Built into an IP44 powder-coated mild steel enclosure measuring 300 x 300 x 150 mm, the unit runs on a 230Vac single-phase supply under normal conditions. Low-voltage power circuits regulate sensor loop excitation and maintain battery charge levels.
The enclosure includes a removable gland plate for neat field cable routing. Standard hardware comprises a 316 stainless steel hydrostatic pressure transducer (0 to 4 m depth) with 24 m of vented submersible cable and a 10 Amp 3-pin 1.5 m mains lead.
