MATelec FPC-12724-E Mild Steel IP56 1PH 12-18A Rain Mains Controller

For larger single phase pump loads where the standard 13A overload just won't cut it, the FPC-12724-E steps in with a fixed 12-18A thermal overload rating. This deluxe rain mains controller from MATelec handles the bigger motors while keeping the same rain-first, mains-backup logic.

The controller monitors the stored rain water level through the low-level float switch input and watches the system pressure via the working pressure switch input. When rain water is available, it pulse closes the mains valve and lets the pressure switch manage the pump. When the tank empties, the pump faults or power drops, the controller shuts the pump down and pulses the valve open for mains water.

At the front, an electronic keypad with indicator lights shows the current water source and system status at a glance. The system test button lets you verify pump and valve operation during commissioning or routine maintenance checks without needing to simulate fault conditions.

The enclosure is IP56 powder coated mild steel at 400x300x200mm with an inner door and removable gland plate. Protection includes a padlockable mains isolator, circuit breaker protected low voltage control and input circuitry, and a contactor with thermal overload that triggers a pump shutdown on overload.
