Three phase supply meets motor mounted VSD control in the FPC-12743. This single pump rain mains controller from MATelec handles 400Vac input while providing the float switch and VSD fault interfaces that drives need for coordinated operation.
The controller takes a 12Vdc input from the float switch to track tank level and monitors the VSD through a dedicated 12Vdc fault input. When rain water is available, it sends a volt free enable signal to the drive and pulse closes the mains water valve. If the rain water depletes, the VSD faults or the power fails, the enable signal stops and the valve pulses open for mains water.
An IP56 powder coated mild steel enclosure at 400x300x200mm houses the rain/mains PCB control module. The enclosure includes an inner door and removable gland plate. The rain/mains keypad on the front panel gives indicator lights for mains and tank water use and system fault, plus a system test/reset button for checking pump and valve function and clearing faults.
A 25mm female/female 12Vdc pulse latching solenoid valve is included with the panel. Optional modifications include a 316 stainless steel enclosure, filter-blocked signal input, tank level meter and fill control, SMS messaging via ME-Link module, and alternative valve sizes.
