Cellular communication removes the need for physical control cables between widely separated water infrastructure. The MATelec FPC-13097 Remote Signal Communicator uses the 4G cellular SMS network to transmit control signals over unlimited geographical distances between remote monitoring points and pump starter panels.
The paired system consists of a transmitter panel and a receiver panel, each fitted with a 4G SMS cellular modem requiring standard SIM cards. When an external digital contact (such as a 24Vdc float switch) trips at the transmitter, an automated SMS command is sent to the receiver panel, which closes its internal relay output to switch connected pump machinery.
Both transmitter and receiver panels are housed in 300 x 300 x 150 mm powder-coated mild steel enclosures carrying an IP55 weatherproof rating. Both units connect to standard 230Vac single-phase power supplies with internal low-voltage circuitry powering the modems and relays.
Each panel features an external cellular antenna and a removable bottom gland plate for separated cable entry. The system includes both enclosures, 4G modems, external antennas, and two 10 Amp 3-pin 1.5 m mains power cables.
