MATelec FPC-15905-E Mild Steel IP54 3PH 12-18A DOL Motor Starter

When your pump motor requires 12-18A overload protection, the FPC-15905-E is the direct on line starter you need. This three phase motor starter from MATelec is fixed at the 12-18A overload rating, making it a straightforward choice for motors in this current range.

A contactor switches the motor supply on and off, while thermal overload protection kicks in if the current exceeds the set point. The pump shuts down automatically on overload, protecting your motor from damage without requiring any user intervention.

The enclosure is IP54 powder coated mild steel at 300x300x150mm with a removable gland plate for cable entry. A padlockable mains power isolator, circuit breaker protected low voltage control and din rail mounted terminal connections make up the rest of the hardware.

Control is through a selector switch offering auto, off and manual. Auto mode responds to two 24Vac digital inputs from floats or pressure switches. Manual mode runs the pump continuously regardless of inputs - a useful override for testing or emergency pumping. Modifications include IP56 enclosure with inner door, 316 stainless steel construction, indicator lights, remote start/stop and emergency stop isolation.
