MATelec FPC-15905-S15 Mild Steel IP56 3PH 15kW Soft Starter Pump Controller

When your pump needs 15kW of power but you want to avoid the stress of direct on line starting, the FPC-15905-S15 is the answer. This three phase soft starter from MATelec brings the motor up gradually, protecting both the pump and the pipework.

User adjustable soft start and soft stop parameters give you control over the acceleration and deceleration ramps. You can set a long ramp to minimize water hammer in a pressure system or a shorter ramp for faster response in a transfer application.

The soft starter is housed in an IP56 powder coated mild steel enclosure with an inner door. Enclosure size increases with the kW rating, so dimensions vary from the base 300x300x150mm DOL footprint.

Two 24Vac digital inputs accept cut-off and working level signals from floats or pressure switches for automatic control. A selector switch provides auto, off and manual operation, and thermal overload protection guards against overcurrent. Soft starters are available only on three phase panels. Modifications include 316 stainless steel enclosure, indicator lights, remote start/stop and emergency stop isolation.
