MATelec FPC-15905-S18.5 Mild Steel IP56 3PH 18.5kW Soft Starter Pump Controller

The FPC-15905-S18.5 is listed in the MATelec 2026 price list as an 18.5kW three phase soft starter for pump duty. It provides controlled motor starting for applications where reduced electrical and mechanical stress is required.

The adjustable soft start and soft stop parameters let you tune the acceleration and deceleration ramps to suit your system. In a pressure boosting application, a longer ramp maintains smooth pressure build-up; in a transfer application, a shorter ramp gets the pump up to speed faster.

An IP56 powder coated mild steel enclosure with an inner door houses the soft starter. Enclosure size increases with the kW rating, so dimensions vary from the standard 300x300x150mm DOL footprint.

Two 24Vac digital inputs provide automatic control from floats or pressure switches, while a selector switch offers auto, off and manual operation. Thermal overload protection shuts the pump down on overcurrent, and the soft starter option is available only on three phase panels. Modifications include 316 stainless steel enclosure, indicator lights, remote start/stop and emergency stop isolation.
