MATelec FPC-15905-S30 Mild Steel IP56 3PH 30kW Soft Starter Pump Controller

At 30kW, the FPC-15905-S30 is a 30kW three phase soft starter for pump duty. This controller from MATelec brings large motors up to speed gradually, protecting the pump, the pipework and the electrical supply from the stress of direct on line starting.

The adjustable soft start and soft stop parameters let you set the acceleration and deceleration ramps to match your application. In a pressure boosting system, a longer ramp prevents water hammer; in a transfer system, a shorter ramp gets the pump up to speed quickly.

An IP56 powder coated mild steel enclosure with an inner door houses the soft starter. Enclosure size increases with the kW rating, so dimensions vary from the standard 300x300x150mm DOL footprint.

Two 24Vac digital inputs accept cut-off and working level signals from floats or pressure switches for automatic control. A selector switch gives you auto, off and manual operation, and thermal overload protection shuts the pump down on overcurrent. Modifications include 316 stainless steel enclosure, indicator lights, remote start/stop and emergency stop isolation.
