MATelec FPC-15905-S4 Mild Steel IP56 3PH 4kW Soft Starter Pump Controller

Starting a large motor across the line can be hard on the pump, the pipework and the electrical supply. The FPC-15905-S4 solves this by bringing the motor up to speed gradually through a soft starter, reducing mechanical stress and eliminating water hammer.

This three phase 400Vac soft starter from MATelec is rated at 4kW and includes user adjustable soft start and soft stop parameters. You can tune the acceleration and deceleration ramp times to suit your specific application, whether it is a pressure boosting system, irrigation pump or water transfer duty.

The soft start version of the Econo controller comes in an IP56 powder coated mild steel enclosure with an inner door. Enclosure size increases with the kW rating, so dimensions vary from the 300x300x150mm DOL footprint.

Two 24Vac digital inputs accept cut-off and working level signals from floats or pressure switches for automatic control. A selector switch offers auto, off and manual operation, and thermal overload protection shuts the pump down on overcurrent. The soft starter is available only on three phase panels. Modifications include 316 stainless steel enclosure, indicator lights, remote start/stop and emergency stop isolation.
