MATelec FPC-15905-S7.5 Mild Steel IP56 3PH 7.5kW Soft Starter Pump Controller

Moving up to 7.5kW, the FPC-15905-S7.5 brings soft starting capability to larger three phase pump loads. This MATelec soft starter controller reduces mechanical wear on the pump and eliminates the sudden pressure surge that can damage pipework and fittings.

The adjustable soft start and soft stop parameters let you tune the acceleration and deceleration profiles to suit your system. A longer ramp reduces stress on the pump and pipework, while a shorter ramp gets the pump up to speed faster when you need quick response.

The IP56 powder coated mild steel enclosure with an inner door provides better weather protection than the IP54 single door used on DOL starters. Enclosure size increases with the kW rating, so dimensions vary from the standard 300x300x150mm DOL footprint.

Automatic control comes from two 24Vac digital inputs that accept cut-off and working level signals from floats or pressure switches. A selector switch gives you auto, off and manual operation, and thermal overload protection ensures the motor is protected against overcurrent. Soft starters are available only on three phase panels. Modifications include 316 stainless steel enclosure, indicator lights, remote start/stop and emergency stop isolation.
