Remote water infrastructure may need continuous telemetry where a conventional mains connection is unavailable. The MATelec FPC-30126-SOLAR InterLINX WiFi IoT Communicator combines an integrated solar power system with local 2.4GHz Wi-Fi communication to provide off-grid cloud monitoring and data logging on the Propitect platform.
The device features Modbus RTU communication over RS-485 for extracting diagnostic data from MATelec pump controllers, along with two digital inputs capable of pulse rate counting for water meter flow logging. A 250Vac 5A changeover relay output is available for remote equipment switching via the Propitect cloud interface.
Enclosed in an IP65 rated powder-coated mild steel housing measuring 300 mm W x 400 mm H x 200 mm D, the unit operates on a 12Vdc solar architecture. It contains internal backup batteries and a solar charge regulator powered by an included 40 Watt solar panel.
The unit is fitted with a top-mounted sealed vandal-resistant IP65 antenna and internal DIN-rail terminals. Commissioning and diagnostic reviews are carried out wirelessly through an integrated Wi-Fi hotspot and browser-based portal.
