MATelec FPC-70011-(AA-E) AS 2941 Compliant 1PH 230Vac Jockey Pump Controller (1.6-18A)

Regulating static water pressure in fire sprinkler and hydrant networks avoids unnecessary starting of large fire pump sets under Australian Standard AS 2941-2013 Section 5. The MATelec FPC-70011-(AA-E) Jockey/Jacking Pump Controller provides automated single-phase pressure regulation and motor protection for fire protection pipework.

Pump cycling is initiated by a digital 12Vdc pressure switch input monitoring pipe pressure. The controller incorporates an LCD display and keypad showing system status, total run hours, logged start counts, and fault history. Front buttons provide Auto, Off/Reset, and momentary Manual pump control, supported by an adjustable post-run timer.

Operating on a single-phase 230Vac supply, the controller protects the motor via an integrated contactor and thermal overload relay covering adjustable current ranges from 0.7 to 18 Amps (suffixes AA through E). It is built into a 400 x 300 x 150 mm red powder-coated mild steel IP54 enclosure with a door-mounted padlockable isolator switch.

The unit provides a pump power supply output and a volt-free BMS common fault relay for connection to master fire panels. Internal components are mounted on DIN rails with a removable bottom gland plate for cable entry.
