Residential sprinkler systems require dedicated pump actuation and continuous audible alarm warnings under Australian Standard AS 2941-2013 Section 7. The MATelec FPC-72011 Residential Sprinkler Pump Controller provides automated single-phase pump starting and alarm bell operation for domestic and residential care sprinkler networks.
Automatic pump start occurs upon a signal from a digital 24Vac pressure switch detecting sprinkler head activation. Whenever the pump runs, an integrated external electronic fire bell sounds continuously to alert building occupants. Front-mounted push buttons allow manual pump starting and stopping for operational testing.
The controller runs on a single-phase 230Vac supply and utilizes a continuous-duty 18 Amp contactor for direct pump switching. Housed in a 400 x 300 x 200 mm red powder-coated mild steel IP54 enclosure, it features a rotary mains isolator switch that is padlockable in the ON position in accordance with fire safety regulations.
Front indicators include a power on lamp alongside manual control buttons and the alarm bell. Internal circuits feature circuit breaker protection, DIN-rail terminals, a removable bottom gland plate, and volt-free BMS outputs for power fail and pump running telemetry.
