High-occupancy residential developments fitted with three-phase sprinkler booster pumps require automated control and occupant warning compliant with Australian Standard AS 2941-2013 Section 7. The MATelec FPC-72013 Residential Sprinkler Pump Controller delivers three-phase pump control, continuous bell alarm signaling, and BMS telemetry.
System actuation is triggered through a digital 24Vac pressure switch input upon line pressure loss during sprinkler discharge. The controller engages an 18 Amp three-phase contactor to start the pump while sounding an external electronic alarm bell throughout the run cycle. Manual start and stop push buttons on the front door allow emergency operation.
Operating from a 400Vac three-phase electrical supply, the controller is housed in a red powder-coated mild steel enclosure measuring 400 x 300 x 200 mm with an IP54 rating. The door-mounted rotary mains isolator is padlockable in the ON position to prevent accidental de-energization.
The front panel includes a power on indicator lamp, manual push buttons, and the audible bell. Internal features include circuit breaker protected low-voltage wiring, DIN-rail terminals, a removable bottom gland plate, and volt-free BMS contacts for power failure and pump running signals.
