MATelec FSW-12415 9004 Oil and Chemical-Resistant 50m CPE N/O Float Switch

For the longest cable option in this group, the 9004 is supplied with a 50 m CPE cable while retaining its stated 10 A switching rating. The float housing is polypropylene with a smooth surface that reduces adhesion of foreign materials. The liquid temperature range is 5°C to 60°C, and protection is specified as IP68 @ 9 m (30 ft) with corrosion resistance.

Electrical switching uses a mechanically activated snap-action contact arrangement. For this SKU, the manufacturer's range table specifies normally open operation and a maximum run current of 10 A at 240 Vac 50/60 Hz. The supplied cable uses Chlorinated Polyethylene (CPE) and is specified at ø8 mm / 2 x 0.75 mm², with 50 m of cable on this model.

The manufacturer specifies a sliding detent action to obviate wave-induced oscillation and maintain consistency in switching level accuracy. During setup, the cable is secured at the desired height and the differential is adjusted by changing the cable weight position.
