MATelec FSW-12570 304SS Vertical Short Stem Magnetic Switch

Single-point level detection in tanks and vessels is handled by the FSW-12570 magnetic float switch, which uses a 304 stainless steel float and stem assembly with magnetic reed switch technology to provide a switching signal to pump controllers. The short stem configuration suits installations where the distance between the mounting point and the switching level is constrained, and the vertical orientation allows the float to travel freely along the stem as the liquid level changes.

Electrical ratings include a maximum contact rating of 50 W, a maximum switching voltage of 24 V DC, and a maximum switching current of 1.5 A. The maximum breakdown voltage is 240 V DC, and the maximum carry current is 3.0 A. Contact resistance is rated at 100 m?, and the magnetic reed switch mechanism provides high repeatability across the operating range. The float material and stem body are both manufactured from 304 stainless steel for corrosion resistance in food processing, medical, heating, and cooling equipment applications.

The float dimensions measure 28 mm in width and 26 mm in height, with a specific gravity of 0.70 that allows the float to rise and fall with liquid level changes. The threaded connection uses an M10 x 1.6 pitch, and the cable outlet is sealed with epoxy to prevent moisture ingress into the switch housing. A gasket seal at the stem mounting point provides additional protection against liquid entry into the switch cavity.
