For outdoor mounting, the FPC-82141 HydroSTART offers single-pump control inside an IP56 powder-coated mild steel enclosure with an inner door. This level controller is equipped with a protective inner door for physical protection against weather. It manages water transfer or localized drainage systems by regulating a single-phase 230 Vac submersible pump.

The controller connects to single-phase 230 Vac mains power, distributing low-voltage switching signals to the pump. Current sensing is handled via externally mounted current transformers, offering selectable CT overload ranges of 0.1 to 6 Amps or 5 to 16 Amps. One current transformer is installed in the cable duct to monitor the single-pump active phase. Overload thresholds are calibrated using the analog dial on the control module.

On-board DIP switch settings toggle the single-pump panel between level control and pressure-boosting control. Level Empty operation is managed by up to four float switches, while Pressure Boost is controlled by a start pressure switch. Manual pump control can be selected on the capacitive keypad, with an optional five-minute manual timeout to automatically return the system to auto control.

The IP56 weatherproof enclosure features an inner door with a padlockable mains power isolator switch. The capacitive touch keypad features system status indicators and a button to mute alarms or select modes. Visual strobe and audible buzzer alarms provide indication of system faults, with smart chirp mode silencing the alarm after five minutes. Outputs include Modbus RTU RS485 for SCADA and a volt-free BMS fault contact. Low-level protection and a 7-day pump anti-seize program are standard.
