MATelec HydroSTART FPC-82143 Mild Steel IP56 Inner Door Three Phase 0.1-16A DOL Single Pump Controller

The FPC-82143 is an IP56-rated single-pump HydroSTART controller designed for three-phase 400 Vac electrical networks. Its powder-coated mild steel enclosure has an inner door to allow secure outdoor installation. This level controller is engineered to coordinate a single submersible pump in water transfer or drainage systems.

The system is powered by a three-phase 400 Vac electrical supply, requiring a four-core connection with neutral. It incorporates electronic current sensing using external current transformers to protect the single three-phase pump. Selectable current ranges of 0.1 to 6 Amps and 5 to 16 Amps are selected via DIP switch 4. Two current transformers monitor two phases of the supply line to detect overcurrent conditions.

The level controller provides configurable level-empty or pressure-boosting control modes for the single three-phase pump. In level mode, float switches regulate starting and stopping thresholds, while pressure mode utilizes a starting pressure switch. The capacitive touch interface supports manual pump control, with an optional five-minute manual run timeout to revert the panel to auto mode.

The IP56 inner-door mild steel enclosure contains contactors for three-phase switching and a padlockable mains isolator. Keypad operation provides capacitive buttons for alarm muting and mode selection. Onboard buzzer circuits trigger a visual strobe and audible buzzer alarms provide indication of system faults, with smart chirp mode silencing the buzzer after five minutes. SCADA communication is supported via Modbus RTU RS485, and BMS uses the common fault contact. Software features include low level and a 7-day pump anti-seize cycle.
