MATelec HydroSTART FPC-82241-ATS Mild Steel IP56 1PH 0.1-6A/5-16A Dual Pump Controller

Single-phase dual-pump installations requiring automatic generator changeover can incorporate an automatic transfer switch option. Designed for single-phase 230Vac supply, this panel includes an automatic generator changeover switch (ATS) while maintaining standard pump sequencing, protection, and alarm functions.

The controller regulates two single-phase pump outputs with automatic duty alternation on start and after 30 minutes of continuous running. When the standby start input closes, the standby pump is energized to assist. A 3-second staggered start delay prevents simultaneous motor starting, reducing electrical current draw and water surge. Independent electronic current sensing provides adjustable motor overload protection across selectable 0.1–6A and 5–16A ranges.

Operator feedback is provided via a dual-pump capacitive touch keypad with indicator lights for power, system enable, level alarms, individual pump run status, auto/manual modes, and fault codes. An integrated visual strobe and audible buzzer with smart chirp silencing provide local alarm alerts. DIP switches configure Level Control with up to 5 float switches or Pressure Control with up to 3 pressure switches.

Built into a 400 x 400 x 200 mm powder-coated mild steel enclosure with an inner door, the panel is IP56 rated for outdoor mounting. Inclusions comprise a padlockable mains isolator, individual pump circuit breakers, a removable gland plate, a volt-free BMS common fault output, and Modbus RTU Serial RS485 connections for SCADA.
