Built for outdoor dual-pump systems, the FPC-82241-E HydroSTART coordinates two single-phase 230 Vac pumps. Its weather-resistant IP56 powder-coated mild steel cabinet with an inner door protects internal components. It provides automated wear-sharing for two submersible pumps in drainage applications.
Housed in an outdoor-rated enclosure, the single-phase 230 Vac controller manages dual-pump operations. It is equipped with standard external thermal overload relays adjustable for 12 to 18 Amps of protection. When a pump draws excessive current, the internal bimetallic strips deflect to open the contactor starting circuit. A natural bimetallic cooling period must elapse before the tripped pump can be reset from the keypad.
DIP switch 1 on the control module toggles the dual-pump system between level-empty and pressure-boosting configurations. Five float switches manage level empty operations, while up to three pressure switches govern pressure setups. Active duty alternates on start and after 30 minutes, or after six hours in recirculation mode. When both pumps are called, a three-second delay staggers their startup to reduce single-phase line load.
Outdoor installation is supported by the weatherproof IP56 mild steel enclosure with a protective inner door and padlockable isolator. Keypad buttons enable simple alarm muting, with LEDs tracking active float switches. Built-in alarm circuits trigger a visual strobe and audible buzzer alarms provide indication of system faults, featuring smart chirp silence. System telemetry is supported via Modbus RTU RS485 and a volt-free common fault relay. Software safety includes low-level protection and a 7-day pump anti-seize cycle.
Features
