The FPC-82241 HydroSTART is an IP56-rated dual-pump level controller engineered for single-phase 230 Vac installations. It is housed in a powder-coated mild steel enclosure with a protective inner door for outdoor use. This panel coordinates two submersible pumps in retention pits or localized drainage schemes.
Designed for single-phase 230 Vac power systems, the controller distributes switching current to two pump circuits. Current sensing is handled via externally mounted current transformers, providing selectable CT overload ranges of 0.1 to 6 Amps or 5 to 16 Amps. One current transformer is installed on the output phase of each pump to monitor running current. The HydroSTART control module uses these CT inputs to track active motor loads.
On-board DIP switches on the control module select between level-empty pit operation and pressure-boosting control. Level control empty coordinates dual-pump emptying using up to five floats, while pressure mode uses three pressure inputs. Rotation logic includes standard 30-minute alternation or six-hour recirculation alternation. The controller initiates the pumps with a three-second staggered start delay to prevent high current draw.
The weather-resistant IP56 mild steel enclosure is equipped with a secure inner door and padlockable isolator switch. Keypad operation allows quick mode shifts, and LEDs monitor system statuses. Integrated diagnostics drive a visual strobe and audible buzzer alarms provide indication of system faults, including zero current and undercurrent conditions. A volt-free common fault contact and Modbus RTU RS485 terminals are standard. Software safety includes low level and a 7-day pump anti-seize program.
