MATelec HydroSTART FPC-82243-BBHLS Mild Steel IP56 3PH 0.1-6A/5-16A Dual Pump Controller with Battery Backup

Three-phase dual-pump installations can incorporate a battery backup high level alarm configuration. Designed for a 400Vac three-phase supply (4 core and earth with neutral), this panel features the BBHLS battery backup high level alarm option alongside three-phase contactor control and motor current sensing.

The unit operates two three-phase pump contactors with automatic duty alternation on start and after 30 minutes of continuous running, or after 6 hours in recirculation mode. The standby pump starts when the standby start input closes, supported by a 3-second staggered start delay. Current transformers monitor two phases per pump, providing electronic overload protection across selectable 0.1–6A and 5–16A ranges.

The panel features a dual-pump capacitive touch keypad with indicator lights for power, system enable, level alarms, pump running states, auto/manual modes, and fault diagnostics. Local alarms include an integrated visual strobe and an audible buzzer with smart chirp silencing. DIP switches allow configuration for Level Control (up to 5 floats) or Pressure Control (up to 3 pressure switches).

Built into a 400 x 400 x 200 mm powder-coated mild steel enclosure with an inner door, the panel is IP56 rated for outdoor mounting. Features include a padlockable mains isolator switch, individual pump circuit breakers, contactors, a removable gland plate, a volt-free BMS common fault relay, and Modbus RTU Serial RS485 connections for SCADA.
