MATelec HydroSTART FPC-82243-GEN Mild Steel IP56 3PH 0.1-6A/5-16A Dual Pump Controller with Generator Input

Three-phase pump installations requiring provisions for connecting a generator can utilize an integrated generator changeover arrangement. This 400Vac three-phase dual-pump panel includes a generator input socket and a manual changeover switch, allowing manual selection between power sources.

The panel operates two three-phase pump contactors with automatic duty alternation on start and after 30 minutes of continuous running, or after 6 hours in recirculation mode. When the standby start input closes, the standby pump starts to assist. A 3-second staggered start delay prevents simultaneous motor starts. Two current transformers per pump monitor two phases across selectable 0.1–6A and 5–16A ranges on a modified D trip curve.

Monitoring and mode selection are accessible through a dual-pump capacitive touch keypad with indicator lights for power, system enable, level alarms, individual pump run status, auto/manual modes, and fault codes. Visual strobe and audible buzzer alarms feature smart chirp silencing. The control module supports up to 5 float switches for level operation or up to 3 pressure switches for pressure boosting.

Built into a 400 x 400 x 200 mm powder-coated mild steel enclosure with an inner door, the assembly is IP56 rated for outdoor mounting. Standard equipment includes a padlockable mains isolator switch, individual pump circuit breakers, a removable gland plate, a volt-free BMS common fault relay, and Modbus RTU Serial RS485 connections for SCADA.
