Four-pump pressure boosting systems can track demand through the MATelec HydroTOUCH FPC-43420-E, a 4 kW controller with pulse flow metering. This panel manages the operation of quad-pump configurations using a three-phase power supply of 400 Vac at 50 Hz. Based on real-time sensor feedback, the system adjusts pump performance to maintain the configured operating conditions.
To maintain system efficiency, this panel incorporates advanced PID control parameters that adjust pump speed in response to system feedback. Staggered operation is programmed into the system to prevent electrical surges and reduce mechanical pipe shock during pump cycling. Run hours are balanced across all available drives through built-in duty alternation and automatic sharing protocols.
An integrated Setup Wizard on the 7-inch touchscreen HMI simplifies system commissioning. The interface provides detailed system monitoring, including power usage graphs, trend plots for pressure or level, and logged alarm events.
Standard terminal connections accommodate dual analog 4-20 mA inputs, up to five 24 Vdc digital inputs, and a pulse flow meter. Standard RCD protection is not recommended because VSD EMC filtering can cause nuisance tripping. If RCD protection is required, Type B RCDs must be used with consideration of VSD earth leakage current.
